THE MILD HYBRID.

Mild hybrid technology is used in vehicles with a classical combustion engine and is deployed to recover braking energy. To accomplish this, the kinetic energy during braking or even when the vehicle is freewheeling is converted into electrical energy, which is then stored in an additional battery. This stored energy can then be utilised to power the electrical systems of the vehicle and to support the combustion engine. Fuel consumption and CO2 decrease as a result while the intensified deceleration characteristics produce a noticeable benefit for the dynamics.

The figures refer to a vehicle with basic configuration in Germany and the range shown considers optional equipment and the different size of wheels and tires available on the selected model.
