LANE DEPARTURE WARNING.
More convenient return to original lane after having passed vehicles

Your BMW is now capable of identifying that you want to return to your original lane after having passed vehicles on country roads and highways. Once you return to the lane, you will only experience haptic feedback through steering wheel vibrations.
The system does not release your from your responsibility to correctly assess visibility and the traffic situation. There is a risk of accident. Adjust your driving style to the traffic conditions. Observe surrounding traffic and actively intervene when appropriate.
Optimized steering intervention for increased driving comfort

Steering interventions of your Lane Departure Warning when leaving the lane are smoother, as the steering duration and steering forces adapt more to the individual driving situation, i.e. the slower you leave the lane (for example), the smoother your vehicle will steer. Your BMW now aligns itself close to the lane marking that had previously been crossed to ensure that you return to an optimum driving position faster.

Improved perception of IconicSounds Sport
As a result of a software error in your BMW, the IconicSounds Sport function may not provide the full range of functions. This Remote Software Upgrade ensures fully functional performance.
Optimized engine control
Engine control functions are further optimized with the new software to make the drive system even more efficient.
Optimized Hill Descent Control
Potential functional limitations of Hill Descent Control are eliminated by this software update.
UPDATES OF VARIOUS CONTROL UNITS.
Engine control unit
In rare cases, misfires may occur in affected vehicles as a result of out-of-date software. This is corrected by programming with the new software.
Sliding/tilting sunroof
This software upgrade prevents a potential discharging of the vehicle battery due to malfunctions of the sliding/tilting sunroof and roller sunblind.
Telematics control module
A potential malfunction of the backup antenna is avoided with the new software.

BMW ICONIC SOUNDS ELECTRIC.
New soundscapes for pure-electric driving pleasure.
BMW IconicSounds Electric introduces new, diverse and emotionally rich soundscapes. They have been created as part of a collaboration between the BMW Sound Design Studio and Academy Award-winning composer Hans Zimmer. The new sounds embody the vehicles' design language by offering a holistic experience. The new sounds reflect the specific performance characteristics of the drive system on board and the signature attributes of an electrified BMW in a completely new yet wholly authentic way. The worlds of sound created by BMW IconicSounds Electric vary depending on the driving mode selected by the driver.
QLOCKTWO® PREPARATION.
An object of craftsmanship in your vehicle.
After the upgrade, it is possible to add QLOCKTWO® to the Curved Display as a widget. QLOCKTWO® is a text-based clock with a design that has received the Red Dot Design Award and the iF Product Design Award, among others. QLOCKTWO® in your vehicle combines craftsmanship with digital presence.
Instructions: Move all tiles in the main menu all the way to the left and then press “Add widget” on the right.

QUALITY IMPROVEMENTS.
Optimizing DC charging
In affected vehicles, as a result of out-of-date software, the DC charging function may malfunction in rare cases when using the charging stations of particular manufacturers. This is corrected by programming with the new software.
Electric drive
In affected vehicles, as a result of out-of-date software, moving off may be faulty in rare cases. This is corrected by programming with the new software.
Tail lights
In rare cases, tail lights may malfunction in affected vehicles as a result of out-of-date software. This is corrected with programming.
Optimized turbocharger control
In rare cases, turbocharger control errors may occur in affected vehicles as a result of out-of-date software. This is corrected by programming with the new software.
UPDATES OF VARIOUS CONTROL UNITS.
Engine control unit
In affected vehicles, as a result of out-of-date software, the separation clutch between the combustion engine and the electric motor may demonstrate functional limitations in rare cases. This is corrected by programming with the new software.
Head unit
With this update, we have improved the connectivity of your BMW. You can now use two mobile phones via Bluetooth® simultaneously as a telephone and audio player. In addition, the WiFi interface is now available for up to ten devices at the same time. This improves your smartphone integration and enables Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and the Wi-Fi hotspot (if your vehicle is equipped with these options).

Reversing camera
Quality improvement in the reversing camera function.
Engine electronics
During the service life of your vehicle, flammable deposits may collect in the intake system. This can lead to localized scorching on the intake system and may even cause a vehicle fire. For this reason, a software-based protection function (incl. Check Control message) must be installed.
Recall: Airbag control unit
The software version in your vehicle is not up to date. In rare cases where the restraint system, pedestrian protection or crash deactivation of the HV system fails, the Check Control message or the airbag warning lamp may not be displayed. This is corrected by programming with the new software.
