EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR THE BMW BEV BATTERY
In addition to the new vehicle warranty, BMW provides you with an extended warranty for the high-voltage battery. It protects you from unexpected costs due to defined material defects, such as battery failure, and, in the case of selected fully-electric BMW models, from excessive loss of battery capacity. Depending on the vehicle, the extended warranty is valid for up to 8 years or up to a maximum mileage of 160,000 kilometers (whichever comes first):
- All battery electric vehicles registered from 1st April 2026 onwards
