The BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant – simply start talking to it. This is the very soul of your BMW, ready to help you at all times. To interact with the assistant, you don’t need to press a button or wait for a confirmation tone. Simply start talking as you normally would, without pausing. For example: ‘Hey BMW, who are you?’ Or perhaps you would like to give the assistant a different name? If so, say: ‘Hey BMW, change the activation word.’

Your BMW will take care of you. It invigorates you when you’re tired, relaxes you after a stressful day and adapts your vehicle’s interior to perfectly suit your mood. The My BMW App suits you as well as your BMW. It is the direct connection to the vehicle, even when you are not sitting in your BMW. Plan your next trip, check the status of your BMW, book your next service appointment or use one of the numerous remote control functions – all conveniently from your smartphone.

Did I lock my vehicle, and where exactly is it parked? Remote Services allow you to remotely access your vehicle from a distance using the My BMW App. Ventilate your BMW before you drive or lock it from anywhere using your smartphone.

Always keep an eye on your BMW's surroundings to rest assured that everything is fine with your vehicle. Remote Services and Remote 3D View allow you to view the area around your vehicle from any perspective, to lock the doors or to activate the headlight flash or car horn using the My BMW App.

Use your smartphone to conveniently send your personal points of interest to the navigation system in your BMW. New favourite destinations that you save in the My BMW App will also be available in the navigation system in the future.

Do you have a favourite map app, e.g. Google Maps or Apple Maps, and want to send an address from it to the navigation system in your BMW? That is not a problem with the My BMW App. It allows you to transfer destinations from map apps that support the share function directly to your My BMW App and send them to your vehicle as required.

Where to next? Search for new destinations using the My BMW App and send them directly to your BMW. Once you have arrived in the vehicle, you can find the destination in your messages and start the destination guidance directly with one click.

BMW is the first automobile manufacturer to offer two possible navigation map update processes: USB Full Map update via dealer or ConnectedDrive. The navigation system is always equipped with up-to-date maps.

Why take your key with you if you have your smartphone with you? You can lock and unlock your BMW and even start it with the Digital Key. You can also authorise up to five people with an iPhone – if compatible – to use your BMW. Among other things, drive power and maximum speed can be limited, e.g. for novice drivers.

It contacts specially trained call centre agents who offer support to you and your passengers until the emergency services arrive. It also sends them important information directly.

Your roadside assistance is always at hand via the My BMW App. In the event of a breakdown, the app transmits your current location after your confirmation and forwards the vehicle data to the BMW Roadside Assistance for optimum advice. In this way you receive the best possible help quickly and without complications.
